We at Pierce Country Day Camp have always been proud of our renowned swim program and facilities. Safety, excellent instruction, the many accomplishments of our campers and FUN form the backbone of our Aquatics Division.
Pierce Aquatics sets the standard for swimming excellence in camping today!
Seven gorgeous temperature controlled swimming pools specifically designed and age appropriate provides the ultimate scenario for individualized swimming instruction.
Our team of highly experienced Red Cross Water Safety Instructors (WSI) and Nassau County Certified Lifeguards work closely with our Group Supervisors, Group Leaders and General Counselors in offering our campers a great mix of instructional and "free" swim twice daily.
The 7 pool complex at Pierce is truly outstanding! Our Olympic sized Indoor pool, the Aqua Dome is one of the finest aquatic venues in all of camping, offering our campers uninterrupted swimming facilities rain or shine. The Aqua Dome also hosts our diving program from our one meter and three meter AAU diving boards.
It is our belief at Pierce that all children share the desire to learn. Through the years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to the development of a swimming program that satisfies that desire. Our goal is to make swimming an exhilarating achievement and rewarding experience for all campers.
All of the six pools at Pierce have a full compliment of pool toys to delight all of our campers. On "FUN Fridays" our pools are full of colorful and creative pools toys for all to enjoy.
Wet N’ Wild free swim activities include:
Poker Chip Hunts, "Belly Boards", Scuba Diving (8’s & up), Dive Rings/Bricks, Noodles, Snorkeling, Water Basketball, Water Polo, Water Ballet, Water Trampoline, Water Volleyball, Water Rock Climbing Wall - The Iceberg, our Teeter Totter, Kayaks, Paddle Boats and a whole lot more...
