The central goal of the Pierce Country Day Camp is to provide our children with the safest, happiest and healthiest possible summer camp “core experience” available.
In this fast paced world today, it is our belief that camp may play a more important role than ever before. It seems in our everyday life, that we have become increasingly more “high tech” and “low touch”. In our opinion, the camp environment offers just the opposite!
Camp is a place where children grow. They have opportunities to try new things, make new friends and to become part of a team approach that fosters getting along and supporting team and bunkmates. Camp teaches a strong sense of community.
Here at Pierce, we have a value system that promotes mutual respect, sportsmanship, tolerance and team building. It is a bonding experience that builds strong character skills that will serve children well in the future. It is a camp program that results in noticeable gains in each camper’s physical, emotional and social development.
Campers learn more about themselves, more about their strengths, more about what they consider FUN, and more about what makes them uniquely special. The Pierce Core Experience that we speak of offers our campers opportunities to increase their overall fitness and athletic abilities, while expanding their creative horizons and adding new interests. All of this is accomplished while our experienced staff nurtures in each camper a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.
